DayMapr Privacy Policy
Effective: May 31, 2026
DayMapr ("we," "our," or "the app") is a personal task, habit, routine, and focus app built for people with ADHD. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.
Who we are
DayMapr is operated by Michael Cerdeiros. You can reach us at hello@daymapr.com.
No separate DayMapr account required
DayMapr does not require an email/password account. Your app data is stored on your device and can sync through Apple's iCloud/CloudKit private database tied to your Apple ID. We do not operate a separate user-account database for your tasks, habits, routines, or profile.
What we collect and why
- Profile content you enter. Your wake/sleep times, focus preferences, biggest struggles, life stage, notification settings, and any people, pets, medications, therapy appointments, doctors, vehicles, home details, routines, habits, chores, tasks, and brain-dump notes you choose to add. This is used to power the app and personalize your experience.
- iCloud sync data. If iCloud is enabled on your device, Apple syncs your DayMapr data through your private CloudKit database so it can appear on your devices. This data is controlled by your Apple ID.
- Usage and diagnostic data. Anonymous or pseudonymous events such as screens visited, features tapped, device type, OS version, performance data, and crash reports. We use this to fix bugs and improve the app. You can turn this off at any time in Settings → Share analytics.
- Purchase data. If you subscribe, Apple and RevenueCat process your subscription status, renewal date, store receipt, and purchase history. We do not receive your credit card number.
- Calendar access (optional). If you grant Calendar access, DayMapr reads selected calendar events to show them on your timeline and can write timed DayMapr tasks to the calendar you choose. Calendar event content is not sent to our servers.
- Notifications (optional). If you grant notification permission, DayMapr schedules reminders for tasks and calendar items.
- Speech and microphone access (optional). If you use voice input for Brain Dump, iOS speech recognition and microphone services process your speech so DayMapr can turn it into task suggestions.
- On-device AI processing. When available, Brain Dump uses Apple's on-device Foundation Models to organize your notes into task suggestions. If on-device AI is unavailable, DayMapr falls back to local parsing. We do not send Brain Dump text to an external AI server.
What we do not collect
- We do not collect your precise or coarse location.
- We do not access your Contacts, Photos, or Camera.
- We do not collect browsing history or search history from outside the app.
- We do not sell your data.
- We do not use your data for third-party advertising, and DayMapr does not display third-party ads.
Third parties that process data on our behalf
We use the following providers strictly to operate, secure, and improve the app.
- Apple — App Store payments, iCloud/CloudKit sync, notifications, calendar access, speech recognition, and iOS system services.
- RevenueCat — subscription management. RevenueCat receives App Store receipt and subscription status information.
- PostHog — product analytics and crash reporting when analytics sharing is enabled. Data is not used for third-party advertising.
Tracking
DayMapr does not track you across apps or websites owned by other companies for advertising purposes. We do not use the Identifier for Advertisers (IDFA). We do not share identifiers with data brokers.
Your rights and choices
- Erase your DayMapr data. Tap Settings → Erase All Data to remove your local DayMapr data and DayMapr iCloud data. This cannot be undone.
- Turn off analytics. Go to Settings → Share analytics.
- Revoke Calendar, Notification, Speech, or Microphone permissions. Go to iOS Settings → DayMapr.
- Request help. Email hello@daymapr.com if you need help accessing, correcting, or deleting data associated with analytics or subscriptions.
Data retention
Your task, habit, routine, and profile data remains on your device and, if enabled, in your private iCloud database until you delete it. Anonymous or pseudonymous usage and crash data is retained for up to 12 months. Purchase records are retained by Apple and RevenueCat as required to operate subscriptions and comply with law.
Children
DayMapr is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete what we can.
International users
DayMapr is operated from the United States. If you use the app from outside the U.S., you understand that analytics, support, and subscription-related information may be processed in the U.S. and other regions where our providers operate.
California residents (CCPA)
California residents have the right to know what personal information we collect, to request deletion, and to opt out of the sale of personal information. We do not sell personal information. To exercise these rights, email hello@daymapr.com.
EU/UK residents (GDPR)
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict processing of, or port personal data, and to object to processing. Our legal basis for processing is performance of our contract with you, your consent for optional features such as analytics, and our legitimate interests in securing and improving the app. Contact hello@daymapr.com to exercise these rights.
Security
We use industry-standard encryption in transit where data is transmitted. iCloud data is handled by Apple through your Apple ID and CloudKit. No system is perfectly secure; if we learn of a confirmed breach affecting data we control, we will notify affected users and regulators as required.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you in the app or by email when practical. The "Effective" date at the top reflects the current version.
